Used all of October on trip to South America. The pack served me well on this trip. Was an excellent carry on, and fit easily into overhead airline storage. It also handled weight well and comfortably. The size of this pack is it's forte, and it's downside. The lower compartment would not comfortably store my Canon EOS with a 28 by 135 lens attached. In the bottom compartment I stored the camera body two standard sized lens', battery chargers/w cords, and my binoculars. My long lens had to be stored in the unpadded top compartment along with a few personal items. Compact is good but also limiting.
